PRAYER MEETING TIME

Prayer meetings will now be held on the first Sunday of every month during Sunday Service.

Prayer Items

A: Neighboring Community

•  Pray for ourselves and our Neighbors in Bamburgh Circle : Please continue to pray that our Lord will use us to touch the lives of our neighbors.

B: Church Community

•  Our Pastors and Ministry Director

•  Our Deacons

•  Pray for the Deacons and Deaconesses

•  Pray that God may grant them wisdom and strength to serve Him through His church and be good and faithful stewards.

•  Our congregations :

•  Pray that all congregations will pray together in your name, grow together in Christ, and support each other.

•  Pray for English congregational needs:

•  Sunday Services :

• i. Welcomers;

• ii. Worship instrumentalists, leaders and worship team members;

• iii. Scripture readers;

• iv. Ushers and Communion Ushers;

• v. Sound system managers;

• vi. Overhead projector managers;

• vii. Refreshment providers;

• viii. Communion preparators; and

• ix. Offering counters.

Pray that all Sunday services co-workers are dedicated and committed to the Lord. Pray that the whole English congregation will be punctual, and supportive to each other. Pray that the messages are touching each of us, motivating us to walk in the path of Jesus, and initiating changes in our own lives to follow Christ and be encouragement to each other. Pray that everyone knows what is expected in each position and perform them for the Lord. Pray that more brothers and sisters will be able to participate and to enjoy the love of brothers and sisters in Christ.

•  Edification – building up in faith:

• i. Sunday School: Class rooms, teachers, students, and curriculums (new believers, young Christians, mature Christians, topical study, Discipleship);

• ii. Special conferences and topics;

• iii. Devotional meeting;

• iv. External conferences, Teens Conference (March break); and

• v. Self-study in the Bible and related topics.

Pray that we will have Sunday school classes and bible study sessions for all with encouraging messages and mind-provoking reminders from the Bible. Pray that each of us will have individual devotional time daily. Pray that all of us could have time of sharing and study of the Bible together. Pray that we can make use of resources and Christian conferences available to us in Toronto throughout the year. Pray that we can grow spiritually and help each other in our daily lives to build up and strengthen our faith in Christ Jesus.

•  Encouragement :

• i. Fellowships: programs, bible study, leaders, councilors and members;

• ii. Caring: Family, individuals and home visitations, personal phone calls, care for individuals, family, sick, elderly, widow and children;

• iii. Devotional support: Self study/ reading of the whole Bible in a set period, Bible study groups, cell groups or support groups;

• iv. Summer Camp, revival meeting;

• v. MRLC: Resources, and

• vi. Self-study of bible and devotional materials.

Pray that we can come together in Christian fellowships to study the Bible, to strengthen our faith together, to support each other in our daily lives. Pray that we can have regular interactions and be available to each other at times of needs, at times of joy and sorrow. Pray that we have our personal experiences with our Lord. Pray that we will use our time wisely to understand the Bible, to build up each other and live a Christian life worth of the call of Jesus Christ.

•  Prayers: Sunday Service prayer time (monthly), prayer groups or teams (quarterly), prayer partners and individual prayers;

Pray that we have the urge from the Holy Spirit to pray individually, with voice or silently, for ourselves, for one another, and for the unsaved. Pray that we can have prayers together, in pairs or in groups, for specific needs of the church, of the English congregation, of each individual and each family among us. Pray that we grow to know more about the power of praying for each other and for the unsaved according to the will of God.

•  Outreach programs:

• i. ESL ministry: administrators, teachers & students;

• ii. Special Sundays: Gospel Sundays, Fathers' Day BBQ, Praise-in-the-Park;

• iii. Vacation Bible School for children, neighborhood events & gospel tracts distributions, neighborhood prayer walk;

• iv. Softball ministry: governors, coaches, umpires, and players;

• v. Short term missions and trips

Pray that we can participate in testifying to others about our own faith and our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that the programs we have in church and in our congregation will be able to reach out to non-believers and through our lives and our behaviors demonstrate the love of God and the value of true Christians that others will come to know Christ. Pray that God be with us wherever we go in His name.

Pray for our own personal encounters and experiences with our Lord daily. Pray for our own individual devotional and spiritual growth, in-depth understanding of the Bible, ability to explain our Christian faith and doctrines, availability and ability to supporting each other in fellowships, and be worthy as a Christian in our everyday life.

•  For the coming year, begin the New Year meditating on these encouraging Bible verses chosen to inspire a fresh new walk with God and a deeper commitment to living the Christian faith.

Wait on the Lord
